It would be a real pity to spend the whole vacation in Istria without a little exploration - or even a real adventure! Seaside, inland, mountains - just name it. Take a hike around Rabac, walk into the woods or swim alongside the coastline - it is safe, even for those less experienced. For a longer walk, aim towards Skitača hill or Učka mountain - once you get to the top and experience the fantastic view, you won’t regret the climbing! Here is another suggestion: get on a bicycle and just go - any direction brings excitement! Many roads and paths are suitable even for children and we can guarantee you a comfortable family ride along the sea shore or in the countryside. For the ones in better physical shape, the winding macadam paths lead upwards, into steep hills, where one can find refreshment in cool breeze and more than one fantastic viewpoint. However, the best recommendation is a full-day bike trip to nearby island of Cres - into true Mediterranean wilderness!
Sailors get to see the most beautiful view of Istrias’ cliffy coast. The harbors(“marinas”) offer modern infrastructures and the possibility to charter boats beginning from small speedboats and affordable 9 meter cruisers, over state of-the-art sports sailboats up to extravagant luxury yachts. Famous as a paradise for sailors, the east coast as well as the nearby islands of Cres, Lošinj and Rab are very popular amongst fans of all kinds of water sports. Divers are attracted by the shallow beaches, steeply shelving cliffs which are gorgeously vegetated, little caves and many other formations which are exciting to explore.
